Considering how many Lovense sex machine cams there are nowadays, I would have expected some of the top models to have upgraded to an FY500 machine.

Nah it's a one time machine that'll serve from beginner to advanced. Look at the Lovense so called sex machine, most girls don't even bat an eyelid on it.
