Why do most customers request shows via Skype instead of private on cam site?

Most request Skype? More than 50%?? Wow that's a high proportion.

Anyway, I too get the odd Skype request most days…

There could be a number of reasons:

• The customer wants to pay you direct and avoid giving percentage to cam site/service
• For privacy, they may want to discuss things of a nature that may be against a site TOS
• To feel like they are getting closer to you with private off-site one-to-one Skype show
• Some could be out to scam you using alternative to site payment to chargeback

There could be other reasons why someone requests a Skype show, but these are the main ones I have discovered when providing or asking why they want to do a show using Skype and not just using the cam site.

Considering some sites take more than 50% of a models tips and then factor in if the model is part of a studio who will also take their cut.

You should have a way for your customers to stay in touch with you outside of the site where you can discreetly advertise yourself independently, be it social media or a link site.
