Adultwork models - Which sites are you using nowadays?

Post by Dolly »

Adultwork just isn't the site it once was for us UK webcam models.

DirectCam is mostly dead, private gallery, video clips and movies have no few sales.

I am wondering which alternative sites other models are using to cam and sell content?

Adultwork used to be my one and only site.

But since then there are many cam and content site alternatives, right now I'm using:
  • Onlyfans
  • Chaturbate
I used to prefer AW because of the anonymity they offered, they allowed private webcam show bookings (Skype, MSN, Yahoo, etc...) which they paid 70% share revenue, but they removed this feature.

DirectCam used to be kind to those whom preferred to offer group & private shows only (no free), I believe they changed something so that those who offered free chat were ranked better, also this who offer lower prices, plus the fact that the payout for cam is now 65% via DirectCam only.

In terms of photos and video sales, I cannot understand how I went from making less than £10 a day on adultwork uploading pics regularly as an established member, to £XXX/day on OF?? Something makes me think they were shaving these sales, especially as I do not promote my OF anywhere, all sales come from within the site itself!?

Adultwork were undoubtedly the #1 site for Uk webcam models, but they have failed to move with the times. In theory they cater for everything these individual cam and content sites do, so there is no reason whey they should have stopped appealing to models and customers. But I suspect their removal of features, changes to rankings and dated site is the reason why.

Something inside me also suspect the fact they cater for escorts in a time where it's still not crystal clear on the Law and future regarding sites that facilitate these, plus money laundering using some of the features they once had, plus other legal issues could be the reason why a lot of models got pissed and chose to go elsewhere.

Plus I think they became far too greedy, you had to feature anything and everything to get a decent level of exposure.

Sigh... I wish adultwork was still as popular and that they had evolved the site to be simple to use and effective for the purpose it was meant for.
