Models age on profile

Do models have the ability to set the age displayed on their cam profile to whatever they want or is it based on the date of birth from the ID supplied by the model?

From a conversation I once had with an adultwork service provider, they can set the age displayed to anything 18+.

I am not sure if anything has changed since age verification and mandatory ID verification.
