Can I ask why some models use an agency/studio?

One of my fave models was working on a cam site through an agency/studio, who were taking 40% of her earnings.

She asked to leave so they deleted her profile and she lots all her favourites, friends, maybe even her tokens.

Why? Are there any benefits to webcam modelling through agencies or studios?
